Stattegg

Stattegg is located in the Andritzbach valley, just north of Graz's Andritz district. The municipality is home to four mountains rising over 1,000 metres above sea level: Zwölferkogel (1,192 m), Hohenberg (1,048 m), Erhardhöhe (1,049 m) and Hohe Rannach (1,018 m).

What guests can look forward to

The Alpengarten Rannach (Rannach Alpine Garden) is located along the hiking trail from Stattegg to Hohe Rannach or Gratkorn. This hidden gem features a remarkable quartz scree field, diverse flora and fauna, and a beautiful pond. At the heart of this idyllic alpine garden, a traditional mountain inn invites hikers to relax, enjoy delicious home-cooked Styrian specialities and take in the peaceful surroundings with stunning views of Graz.

The Graz Region is becoming an increasingly popular destination for mountain biking in Austria, with a strong focus on supporting young talent. The introduction of the UEC European Youth Mountain Bike Championships in 2011 provided an additional boost for aspiring young athletes on their journey towards professional competition. Since then, Stattegg has established itself as a host venue for this international youth championship.
