Many tasks were once laboriously done by hand. Hence, songs that supported the rhythm, created community, and made the daily grind a little easier were all the more important. Traditional pieces like “Spinn, Spinn, Spinnerin” or “Lahnsattler Holzknecht” still tell the story today.

The Stübing Open-Air Museum provides a particularly harmonious setting for this. Among historical buildings and vividly presented working processes of the past, Daniel Fuchsberger from the Styrian Folk Song Association brings the appropriate songs into play. It’s not just about listening: singing together is explicitly part of it and makes the tour especially lively.

From 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., a cheerful connection of history, music, and shared experiences is created. Participation costs € 25.00 for members of the Styrian Folk Song Association, € 35.00 regular, plus museum admission or group price.
