What was everyday work like in the past, when hands, tools, and a common rhythm dictated the pace instead of machines? On Saturday, October 17, 2026, a historical-musical tour through the Stübing Open-Air Museum will combine exciting insights into past working worlds with the joy of singing together.

Many tasks were done painstakingly by hand in the past. Therefore, songs that supported the rhythm, created community, and made everyday work a little easier were all the more important. Traditional pieces like "Spin, Spin, Spinner" or the "Lahnsattler Woodworker" still tell of this today.

The Stübing Open-Air Museum provides a particularly harmonious setting for this. Among historical buildings and clearly conveyed work processes from past times, Daniel Fuchsberger from the Styrian Folk Song Association will bring the appropriate songs into play. It's not just about listening: singing together is explicitly part of it and makes the tour especially lively.

From 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., a cheerful connection of history, music, and shared experiences will be created. Participation costs € 25.00 for members of the Styrian Folk Song Association, € 35.00 regularly, plus museum admission or group price. Registration with the Styrian Folk Song Association (+43 316 908635 or online) is required.
