Love, intrigue, and a patent dispute at Wolfgang Lake – things are heating up at the "White Horse"! When singing waiters, headstrong innkeepers, grumpy textile entrepreneurs, and the Kaiser himself come together, the idyll by the lake turns into a bubbling operetta delight. Operetta specialist Marius Burkert maneuvers alongside director Dirk Schmeding the audience favorites Ivan Oreščanin, Corina Koller, and Sieglinde Feldhofer joyfully through the catchy score.

High season at the "White Horse": The resolute innkeeper Josepha Vogelhuber welcomes a colorful group of guests, and soon a love carousel begins to spin amid Alpine peaks and steam baths, filled with complications. Head waiter Leopold admires his boss, who in turn prefers to look at lawyer Dr. Siedler – who, however, is flirting with Ottilie, the daughter of his Berlin opponent Giesecke. Between legal disputes and heartbeats, the charming Sigismund creates even more confusion – and when the Kaiser arrives, the chaos is complete.
Four composers – including Ralph Benatzky and Robert Stolz – made the White Horse a perennial favorite in 1930 with unforgettable melodies, blending waltzes, tangos, foxtrots, and Alpine sounds. After his successful production of Venus in Seide in the 2023/24 season, director Dirk Schmeding this year looks with loving irony behind the scenes of a hotel operation, where kitsch and calculation become a flourishing business model.
