Opera café

The Opera Café is located opposite the opera house, in the heart of Graz. A café has existed at this address since 1861. It is a place with a long tradition that still serves as a meeting point for city strolls, opera visits, and Sunday breakfast. Since 2020, the café has been run by the Aiola group, which has breathed new life into this historic place. Today, the Opera Café combines classic café culture with modern style, stylish details, and a diverse culinary offer. Its location directly on the Opera Ring also makes it a popular spot for those who appreciate city flair and good cuisine.

The menu ranges from a variety of breakfast options to brasserie classics, small dishes, and desserts from the in-house patisserie. In particular, the showcase of pastries with cream slices, punch donuts, or tarts is reminiscent of the grande café tradition. The spacious dining area features high ceilings, classic café furniture, and modern accents, complemented by a light-filled winter garden and a small guest garden right on the Ring. The Opera Café thus remains a place for all times of the day – between city shopping, business meetings, and opera performances.
