On November 14, 2026, heavy bells, intricately carved masks, and impressive furs shape the image of Übelbach. The 3rd Krampus Run of the Übelbacher Gleinalm Pass focuses on regional traditions as much as on the shared experience in the marketplace.
The association was founded in 2023 from a shared enthusiasm for the Krampus tradition. Since then, cohesion, friendship, and voluntary engagement have formed the basis of the association's work. The members work together on designing their gear, participating in Krampus runs, and organizing their own home run.
For the third edition on Saturday, multiple Krampus groups are expected again. Terrifying figures, carved masks, heavy bells, and elaborately designed furs characterize the scene as the Krampuses parade through Übelbach. The home run combines the impressive display of the tradition with a festive gathering.
Even outside the runs, the Übelbacher Gleinalm Pass is committed to the community. Activities during Advent and around the St. Nicholas tradition, as well as support for social projects in the region, are among the concerns of the association.
Übelbach is accessible by public transport.
