Guided tour: Through the museum in the evening
Evening tour at the Austrian Open-Air Museum Stübing: Experience history, houses, and crafts in the warm light of twilight – calm, atmospheric, and yet somewhat mystical
As the day slowly settles and the light softens, a special time begins in the Valley of History. The Evening Tour for Adults at the Austrian Open-Air Museum Stübing leads through historical farms, courtyards, and workshops from all over Austria – right in the heart of Styria.
On selected evenings, the museum opens its paths in the evening hours. Between old wooden fences, smoke kitchens, and barns, history tells a different story than in the bright light of day. The buildings appear calmer. The creaking of the floors, the scent of wood and meadows, the chirping of crickets – all of this is part of it.
The tour is aimed at adults who want to take a closer look. How did people live in the past? How did a smoke kitchen work? What work shaped daily life on the farm? Step by step, a picture of the lives of past generations emerges.
Admission: € 36.00 per person (admission, tour including culinary treats) | Meeting point at the entrance/cash desk | Registration required up to 3 days before the event at +43 3124 53700 or freilichtmuseum@museum-joanneum.at
