Crispy goose, homemade red cabbage, quark dumplings, baked apple, and glazed chestnuts make the goose season at Hügellandhof an autumn delight.

Cost: € 37.00 pP

When crispy roasted goose meets hearty red cabbage and fine autumn sides, one of the year's most popular culinary traditions is back. At Hügellandhof on Schemerlhöhe in Vasoldsberg, the Martin Goose will be on the menu from October 30 to November 15 2026.

The highlight is the crispy roasted goose, accompanied by homemade red cabbage and fried quark dumplings. A stuffed baked apple and glazed chestnuts complete the dish. Hearty, fruity, and slightly sweet, the individual components come together to create that autumnal flavor that characterizes the traditional goose meal.

The Martin Goose is part of the culinary season around Martin's Day in Styria. At Hügellandhof, this tradition is upheld with a classic arrangement, where the goose is just as much in the spotlight as its carefully coordinated companions. In particular, red cabbage, baked apple, and chestnuts bring the flavors of late autumn to the plate.

The price is € 37.00 per person. Vasoldsberg is accessible by public transport.
