Chainsaw Carving Art Days
Artists from various countries transform oak trunks into unique sculptures before the eyes of the audience using chainsaws.

From August 7th to 9th, 2026, the Obervoitsberg Castle will become the venue for extraordinary wood art. At the Chainsaw Carving Meeting, artists from various nations will work on massive oak trunks and create individual sculptures in front of the audience. It is possible to directly observe how precise cuts transform the raw wood into shapes, figures, and fine details.

Afterwards, the sculptures created during the speedcarving will be auctioned off for the benefit of the artists.
You will be catered to by Steiramichl.
Crafts, face painting for children, and the Alt-Kainach knighthood complement the program. The meeting will be moderated by SR Alfred Mayer. Admission is free. The combination of traditional woodwork, international participation, and the historic castle backdrop makes the event a significant summer date in the Lipizzaner homeland.
Voitsberg is accessible by public transport.
