Bloom – The Joanneum is blossoming!

BLOOM turns the Universalmuseum Joanneum into a stage for the flower from spring to autumn 2026: exhibitions at various locations illuminate it as a cultural, scientific, societal, and political actor. Art, historical objects, natural sciences, and contemporary interventions show the close relationship between humans and flowering plants – from myths and rituals to current questions surrounding climate change, colonialism, and agriculture.

In addition to the exhibitions, there is a diverse supporting program with tours and events, ranging from easily accessible offerings to special evening experiences. A special highlight is the festival month of June 2026 under the title BLOOMen in June with the BLOOM Fest on June 14, 2026, in the Austrian Sculpture Park.
