Bloom – The Joanneum is blossoming!

BLOOM transforms the Universalmuseum Joanneum into a stage for flowers from spring to autumn 2026: Exhibitions at various locations highlight them as cultural, scientific, social, and political actors. Art, historical objects, natural sciences, and contemporary interventions illustrate the close relationship between humans and flowering plants – from myths and rituals to current issues surrounding climate change, colonialism, and agriculture.

In conjunction with the exhibitions, there will be a varied framework program featuring guided tours and events ranging from accessible offerings to special evening experiences. A particular highlight is the festival month of June 2026 under the title BLOOM in June  with the BLOOM Festival on June 14, 2026, at the Austrian Sculpture Park.
