The beautifully decorated harvest wagons from the surrounding communities can be admired while enjoying a glass of fresh Sturm (young wine).

At the big ORF Radio Steiermark Hiking Day in Pöllau, everything revolves around the famous Hirschbirne pear. On October 26, numerous hikers will set out to explore the traditions and flavors of the Pöllauer Hirschbirne. Along the hiking route, numerous refreshment stations will offer regional specialties, inviting visitors to taste, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere. In the Pöllau Valley, the Hirschbirne is used to make a variety of products, including schnapps, liver loaf, and juices, offering visitors plenty of opportunities to discover this unique local specialty.
