The ORF Radio Steiermark Hiking Day "Around the Pöllauer Hirschpear" 2026
will take place on Monday, October 26, 2026 for the 30th time.
Agenda
from 08:30 a.m. Meeting and refreshments at Pöllau Castle, Holy Mass with the Pöllau Brass Band
- from 09:15 a.m. Start of the Hiking Day
Welcome by the Nature Park with Paul Prattes
Musical accompaniment by the Pöllau Brass Band - from 12:00 p.m. Big closing festival in Pöllau Castle Park
Children's program
with "Hirschbirnmusi" - from 2:30 p.m. Concert "DIE EDLSEER"
- after 4:30 p.m. Raffle of the 25 Hirschpear prize tickets
two hiking routes (attached the route guidance)
- The short hiking route (7.7 km) is accessible with strollers.
- The long hiking route (12.5 km) is manageable for average hikers.
A shuttle service from Graz will be offered together with the regional bus company “Retter Reisen” as in previous years.
