Platzdye House Apartment – historical charm meets modern comfort
Immerse yourself in the eventful history of the Platzdye House, whose roots date back to the 16th century. The house owes its name to its original use as a dye house. In 1656, master dyer Joseph Lerchegger began his work here – a tradition that continued for over 150 years. Since 1958, this charming building has been owned by our family. Today, it houses a grocery store on the ground floor as well as a lovingly managed farmers' shop with selected regional specialties.
Your cozy holiday apartment is located right at the idyllic market square of Obdach. Restaurants, traditional inns, and shops are in immediate proximity.
Obdach is the ideal starting point for varied hikes and cycling tours through the beautiful Styrian pine land. In winter, the ski lift, located only about 800 meters away, offers sporty variety and carefree hours in the snow. Experience relaxing vacation days in a historical setting – combined with modern comfort and Styrian hospitality.

- Follow the signs to the A2 (Southern Motorway) towards Klagenfurt.
- Drive for about 40 km to the Zeltweg West exit.
- Follow the S36 towards Judenburg/Knittelfeld.
- Exit the S36 at the Zeltweg West exit and take the B78 towards Obdach.
- Follow the B78 to the Obdach marketplace. Hauptstraße 37 is located directly in the center, near the marketplace.

By car:
- Starting from Vienna Schwechat Airport:
- Follow the signs to the A4 (Eastern Motorway) towards Vienna/Graz/Salzburg.
- At the Wien-Inzersdorf interchange, take the exit onto the A2 towards Graz.
- Drive on the A2 towards Graz and stay on the motorway for about 175 km.
- After Graz, follow the signs for A9/S36 towards Judenburg/Knittelfeld.
- Exit the S36 at the Zeltweg West exit and follow the B78 towards Obdach.
- Follow the B78 to the Obdach marketplace. Hauptstraße 37 is located directly in the center, near the marketplace.

- Drive onto the A1 (Western Motorway) towards Vienna/Villach.
- At the Salzburg interchange, take the exit onto the A10 towards Villach/Graz.

- Follow the B96 towards Murau and then the B78 via Judenburg to Obdach.
- Follow the B78 to the marketplace. Hauptstraße 37 is located directly in the center of Obdach.
