The production “Open Two Relationship” by Franca Rame and Dario Fo will be presented in April and May at THEO in a new, surprising interpretation.
The timeless classic among modern romantic comedies is brought to the stage here with two women as a dueling couple – an exciting shift in perspective that makes the familiar material appear in a new light.
With sparkling wit, rapid pace, and a healthy dose of slapstick, a turbulent comedy unfolds about love, freedom, jealousy, and the limits of open relationships. Rame and Fo, masters of political and socially critical theater, expose the contradictions of human closeness and self-determination in a pointed tone – current, precise, and hilariously funny at the same time.
On stage are Ninja Reichert and Sigrid Sattler, who embody the temperamental couple with delightful comedy and emotional depth. Under the direction of Peter Faßhuber, an exhilarating performance emerges that balances between humor and authenticity, allowing the audience to laugh and think alike.
