On December 31, 2026, the Cultural Centre Knittelfeld transforms into a festive sea of sound: At the New Year's Eve concert with the Accento Chamber Orchestra and tenor Mahdi Niakan, the audience can expect a musical conclusion to the year full of brilliance and spirit.
The Vienna Salon Soloists are a community of 13 Viennese musicians who have been working together for 30 years now. The ensemble is dedicated to the preservation of classical salon music from the 19th and 20th centuries. The ensemble presents an annual New Year's program, which is composed of the great hits from the golden and silver operetta eras. The current program “A Waltz It Must Be” includes works from the Strauss dynasty and compositions by the operetta masters Franz Lehar, Robert Stolz, and Emmerich Kalman. The guest star is the singer, actress, and radio host Arabella Fennyves. She is considered one of the best interpreters of the Viennese operetta repertoire and will also moderate the concert. The unique feature of the Salon Soloists is their skillful mix of virtuosity, delight in playing, and showmanship, making their concerts a “must” for all lovers of salon music.
