Steinschlag Brodjäger - Sunk
| Forstarbeiten Sunk
The H2 Trail runs from Sunk through Hohentauern to Brodjäger—or in the opposite direction—and offers a variety of forest trails, gravel sections, and beautiful views in the Murtal Region.
This mountain bike trail runs from Sunk through Hohentauern to Brodjäger and can be ridden in either direction. The former loop trail is no longer passable in its entirety. The route offers a varied landscape, passing through the countryside around Hohentauern via forest trails, gravel roads, and short paved sections. Along the way, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains as well as quiet stretches away from through traffic. The direct connecting section between Sunk and Brodjäger is no longer part of the official MTB route. A connection there would only be possible via the B114 and is not recommended for mountain bikers. The route is particularly suitable in combination with Tour H1 “Hasensattel back via Mühlgraben.” This creates a varied MTB loop around Hohentauern without using the B114.

More information
Via the S 36 coming from Judenburg, turn off at Furth, follow the signs for Triebener-Tauern Straße B114 for approx. 35km.
Or coming via the A9, take the Trieben exit and follow the signs to Judenburg and Hohentauern through the village of Trieben for approx. 10 km.
The route begins in the Sunk area and follows the official MTB route toward Hohentauern. From there, it continues on to Brodjäger. The route can also be ridden in the opposite direction, from Brodjäger via Hohentauern to Sunk. The former loop between Brodjäger and Sunk is no longer passable. This section can only be accessed via the B114 and is therefore not recommended as an MTB route. For a longer loop, we recommend combining it with MTB Tour H1, “Hasensattel back via Mühlgraben.”
A rest or a visit to the rock and cave world is really recommended!
Difficult to reach by public transport from Judenburg or Trieben.
There is a large parking lot in the center of the village, which is only 500m from the starting point of the tour.
