We hike from the Sommertörl via the Loretto Chapel to the Lahneck, Glaneck and Kesseleck peaks. This high-altitude hike with multiple summits impresses with a magnificent view of the Seckau Alps and Wölzer Tauern. On the way back we hike to the Rosenkogel and thus the 4th summit.

This high-altitude tour is categorised as difficult and you need to be in good physical condition and have the stamina to enjoy it.

Knittelfeld - Gaal - Gaalgraben - Sommertörl

We walk from the Sommertörl to the Loretto Chapel and follow the path over the Schneegruber to the Salzlacken, continuing over the Lahneck to the Schaftörl and Kesseleck. The return route follows the same route, but at the junction for the Rosenkogel and Loretto Chapel we take the route via the Rosenkogel.

Avoid time pressure and choose a pace that ensures no one in the group gets out of breath.

Falls as a result of slipping or stumbling are the most common cause of accidents! Be aware that excessive speed or tiredness can severely impair your surefootedness and concentration.

Good hiking boots protect and relieve the foot and improve sure-footedness! When making your choice, look for a perfect fit, non-slip tread sole, waterproofness and low weight.

Adapt your equipment to your hike and make sure your rucksack is light. Nevertheless, rain, cold and sun protection should always be in your rucksack, as well as a first aid kit and mobile phone (Euro emergency number 112). A map or GPS will help you find your way.

Find out about the weather conditions in advance - especially in the high mountains, the weather can change often and quickly. Also inform your host or your family about the planned route.

This tour is not accessible by public transport.
