Characteristics
SkillThe tour in numbers
A challenging MTB loop starting right from Camping Wildbolz: Over approximately 24 kilometers, the tour climbs 740 meters in elevation and leads from the Aichfeld valley toward Spielberg and Flatschach. A varied loop for mountain bikers and e-MTB riders with good basic fitness, offering beautiful views of the Murtal landscape.
This mountain bike loop starts right at Camping Wildbolz in Göttschach near Fohnsdorf and leads from the Aichfeld valley toward Spielberg and Flatschach. At about 24 kilometers and with over 740 meters of elevation gain, the tour is relatively short but definitely challenging: The climb demands physical fitness, but rewards riders along the way with varied terrain and beautiful views of the Murtal landscape.
After setting off from the campground, the route first heads out of the Göttschach area. The trail quickly gains elevation and leads into hillier, more forested sections around Spielberg and Flatschach. The highest point is at around 1,260 meters—which clearly sets this loop apart from the more leisurely campground bike tours in the valley.
The tour is particularly suitable for athletic mountain bikers and e-MTB riders who want to tackle a short but challenging mountain loop directly from the campground. The focus is on fitness, elevation gain, varied trails, and actively experiencing the region.
