A leisurely, scenic circular tour in the Murtal region from the sports centre in Zeltweg towards Kleinfeistritz and back to Zeltweg via Möbersdorf.

This leisurely circular tour leads from cycle junction 46 through Zeltweg where we keep left after the Mur bridge and cycle along the fields and a small bridge through the Möbersiedlung towards Großlobming. On the right-hand side, we branch off to the right, climbing gently to Thann Castle. Now the route continues leisurely with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains in the Murtal region towards Großfeistritz to cycle junction 44. Cycle along the beautiful fields towards Kleinfeistritz to cycle junction 63 and turn right, slightly uphill and keep right again downhill towards Weißkirchen to cycle junction 38. There we cross the Gaberl Bundesstraße and cycle comfortably downhill with a great view to Möbersdorf and then back to Zeltweg.

Zeltweg is located on the A9 motorway (Pyhrn Autobahn), which runs from Graz to Salzburg. If you are coming from Graz, take the Zeltweg West exit. If you are coming from Salzburg, take the Zeltweg Ost exit. From there, simply follow the signs.

On this tour we cycle on a lightly travelled asphalt country road, sometimes without a cycle path.

Walkers and hikers always have priority. A friendly and considerate approach to pedestrians is a prerequisite. In case of encounters, it is important to make yourself noticed with the bell and pass slowly. Walking paths and hiking trails may not be used by mountain bikes.

Our nature and landscape is as good as untouched and beautiful. To keep it that way, we ask vacationers to avoid litter and unnecessary noise. In order not to disturb the animals, the mountain bike trails should only be used during the day:

from June 1 to September 15 from 9.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.

from 16 September to 31 October from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Ride only on approved, marked trails and never off the beaten path. On the forest paths the road traffic regulations must be observed!

Just as when driving a car, you should always ride on sight when mountain biking. On forest roads, wood on the roadway and motor vehicles are to be expected.

If you encounter grazing livestock on the trail, reduce your speed to walking pace to avoid wrong reactions of the animals. Please always close grazing gates!

Proper self-assessment is necessary in any sport! Do not overstrain yourself in terms of technique and condition. This will also help you avoid accidents.

Take the ÖBB to Zeltweg, express trains only stop in Judenburg and Knittelfeld, change to the regional train to Zeltweg.
