Bike & Hike Seckau

Starts in Knittelfeld, via Kobenz to junctions 73, 74. The steep route leads via St. Marein and St. Martha to Fressenberg, then downhill to Seckau. The hike begins there on circular trail 28a before cycling back to Knittelfeld.

Start your cycle tour in Knittelfeld and cycle via Kobenz to junctions 73 and 74. From St. Marein to St. Martha, the route is quite steeply uphill. This is followed by a winding forest road past meadows with grazing cows. From Fressenberg it is downhill to Seckau, where the relaxing hike begins. The hike starts in the center of Seckau, near the Benedictine monastery, and follows the signs for trail 28a southwards. The trail leads through slightly ascending terrain across meadows and small wooded areas to the highest point of the circular trail after around 2.5 km. The way back leads in a loop back to the starting point. Back on the bike, the route leads slightly uphill from Seckau for about 2 km, then only downhill. Follow Hammerbergstraße to the L515 Gaaler Straße and on to Sachendorf before returning to Knittelfeld and the main square.
