A short and easy leisurely bike loop starting right from Camping Murinsel: The tour covers about 19 kilometers through the Aichfeld region, past Knittelfeld, and on toward St. Lorenzen. Flat sections, clear landmarks, and the ability to combine this route with the bike node system make this loop ideal for campground guests, families, and e-bike riders.

This short, leisurely bike loop starts right at Camping Murinsel or at the Murstüberl inn and winds its way through the Aichfeld for about 19 kilometers. With very little elevation gain, the tour is easy both technically and physically and is ideal for a relaxed ride starting right from the campground.

The loop leads from the Großlobming and Apfelberg area out into the open valley of the Aichfeld. On easily rideable sections, the route heads toward Knittelfeld and continues into the area around St. Lorenzen near Knittelfeld. With Knittelfeld’s main square, the Knittelfeld Railway Museum, and the Zechner recreation area, there are several easily recognizable landmarks along the route that add variety to this short, leisurely loop.

Particularly convenient: This tour can be easily combined with the Murtal cycling node system. The signposted nodes make navigation easy and allow you to individually extend or shorten the loop depending on your preferences, time, and fitness level. This way, the short leisurely loop can easily be turned into a longer discovery tour through the Murtal valley if desired.
