A moderately difficult hike that starts at one of the most popular excursion destinations in the Murtal adventure region - the Ingeringsee.

We start the hike from the parking lot just before Ingeringsee in the Murtals adventure region and follow the forest road that leads past the lake and the newly built Klementikapelle on the right. After we have hiked about 5km mainly on forest roads, the well-marked hiking trail leads in the direction of the valley head up to our destination the Kettentörl at 1864m.

The tour leads a large part on forest roads and on well-marked hiking trails.

Avoid time pressure and choose the speed so that no one in the group gets out of breath.

Falls, as a result of slipping or tripping, are the most common cause of accidents! Note that too fast a pace or fatigue will severely affect your surefootedness and concentration.

Good hiking boots protect and relieve the foot and improve surefootedness! When making your choice, look for a perfect fit, non-slip tread sole, waterproofness and light weight.

Adapt your equipment to your hike and make sure your backpack is lightweight. Nevertheless, rain, cold and sun protection always belong in your backpack, as well as a first aid kit and cell phone (Euro emergency call 112). Map or GPS support the orientation.

There are no refreshment stops directly on the tour - so take enough to drink and food with you.

The tour is not accessible by public transport. But you can take the bus from Knittelfeld train station to Gaal from here to Ingeringsee you would have to take a cab.
