The Tauernwindpark is Europe's highest wind farm at 1900m above sea level and consists of 13 turbines.

Europe's highest wind farm at 1900m above sea level consists of 13 turbines. For hiking enthusiasts, the wind park is only the beginning of a beautiful mountain day. If you take the toll road up to the car park, you can hike from there to the Schönberg and the Hoher Zinken.

Please note winter closure!

Opening hours:

  • Only open in summer.
  • Tauernwindpark closed from November (winter closure)
