The smelting hut, a several hundred years old building at the foot of the Zirbitzkogel in the Seetaler Alps.

The Schmelzhütte, a popular destination for hikers and day-trippers in the Seetaler Alps, serves as an ideal starting point for hikes and ski tours, for example to the Zirbitzkogel. 

The Schmelzhütte offers a rustic and cozy atmosphere and is open year-round. Since 2022, it has also been accessible during the hiking season from May to November via the RegioBus line 873 from Judenburg.
