The Casino Grand Prix equestrian events in Farrach, organised by the Reiclub Kaltenegger, are known far beyond the borders of Styria.
The 26 years of existence are not an insignificant period of life, as Friedl and Max Kaltenegger know, with whose names the founding and development of the club are inseparably connected.
In 1979, the Kaltenegger-Farrach-Zeltweg Riding Club was founded with only 10 members. Today the riding club has about 155 members of all ages. In addition, our riding club has established itself as a social institution, joined by countless friends, volunteers and many sponsors. We held our first riding and jumping tournament in 1981 with a remarkable 100 horses at the start. When we take stock today, we can point to 40 Farrach show jumping competitions and 3 western competitions with constantly increasing numbers of participants. Today, the Farrach Riding Club is the traditional organiser of two annual horse shows that attract attention far beyond the borders of Styria. Over the past 26 years, our riding club has also become an integral part of local community life and has found a partner in the Farrach Volunteer Fire Brigade, which has contributed countless hours of voluntary work in the organisation of events since its foundation. The riders of RC Farrach have won a large number of Styrian and Austrian championship titles in the last 26 years, making RC Farrach one of the most successful clubs in Styria today.
