The Protestant church stands in the municipality of Sankt Johann am Tauern in the district of Murtal in Styria.
The Protestant Faith Church is one of the oldest tolerance prayer houses in Austria and the only surviving Protestant church building of the tolerance period in Styria. It was built in 1784. The church has been preserved almost unchanged in its original form from the time of its construction. Only a tower was added to the north side in 1951/52. Since 15 October 1967, the church has borne the name Glaubenskirche (Church of Faith) by decision of the presbytery of the branch congregation and is a listed building.
