Hohentauern

The 4th heavenly place is located at the "Kälberalm".


From the "Triebental" to the "Kälberalm

At 1,442 m above sea level there is the Kälberalm. Where many years ago the alpine farmers produced cheese, butter and curd cheese, now the young cattle of the Braun farm graze during the summer.

At the rustic alpine hut, time can be forgotten and thoughts float far away with the wonderful view. If you like to discover even more of the mountain world, you can hike up to the Geierkogel within 2 hours.

The starting point of the tour is at the Braun farm in Triebental (trail no. 948). The Kälberalmhütte can also be reached from the village of Hohentauern via the Hasensattel in 1.5 hours!

The Himmlische Platzerl can be visited from May to October, depending on the weather.
