Ligist is the beginning of the Western Styrian Schilcherweinstraße. This leads through the home of the famous rose-colored Schilcher, Stainz and Deutschlandsberg to Eibiswald. Here you will find numerous taverns and wineries that offer this exceptional typical West Styrian wine.

Blossoming roses, excellent wine taverns, cosy accommodation and a unique landscape. Not only in the autumn at 'Sturm und Kastanien' [chestnuts and wine in its fermentation period], but also from spring to late autumn, special experiences await you along the Schilcher Wine Road. The name Schilcher comes from the dazzling color of the wine, which is pressed from the grapes of the Blue Wildbacher vine and only here, on the mineral-rich gneiss and schist rock soils on the slopes of the hilly Weststeirmark develop its typical taste.
