In the Salon Stolz in Graz, music is not only experienced through listening but also through participation. The building is an inclusive museum dedicated to the composer and conductor Robert Stolz, conveying classical music to all generations.
In the exhibition, interactive stations invite visitors to create their own melodies, build sound worlds, or act as a conductor using VR technology. On selected dates , the dance theater project "Melodia" is in the spotlight: Two dancers weave elements of image, sound, and movement with Stolz's life – participation is explicitly encouraged.
The house is designed to be fully accessible: tactile guidance systems, information in Braille, sign language, plain language, and a hearing assistance system are all part of the concept. For its inclusive offerings, Salon Stolz was awarded the Austrian Inclusion Award in 2024.
