Rosenzopf Beekeeping
Ligist
Between meadows and forests awaits a sweet experience full of knowledge and nature.
The Rosenzopf Beekeeping places the bee at the center – with all its fascinating characteristics. Only the Carnica bee, a locally adapted breed that has been around for centuries and is known for its gentleness and adaptability, is used. About 100 bee colonies are located in carefully selected, wind-protected and sunny sites. There, they find ideal conditions for healthy development and high-quality honey.
At the core is the bee colony as a unit. No being, neither queen, worker, nor drone, can exist alone. It is only the harmonious cooperation of all that makes the colony viable. This is precisely what makes beekeeping so fascinating and unique.
The beekeeping operation is also a stop on the Ligister Schmankerlweg. The path leads over forest and meadow trails directly to the facility and further to two regional wine taverns. Visitors can expect a knowledgeable guided tour through the production rooms with exciting insights into honey production, from the hive to the jar, after prior registration. Following the tour, home-made products can be sampled.
An experience that uniquely combines nature, craftsmanship, and enjoyment.
