Picnic at Folk Life Museum

The Volkskundemuseum (folklore) Museum at Paulustor opens its hidden garden areas in Graz for a special summer experience: the Museum Picnic in the Green. After an approximately sixty-minute guided tour through the themes of the new museum – change, social living environments, and cultural perspectives – the path leads out to tranquil museum gardens at the foot of the Schlossberg.

There, visitors spread out their blankets and enjoy a picnic amidst historic walls and plenty of greenery. The gardens are otherwise not open to the public and create a special atmosphere in the middle of the city.

The Museum Picnic takes place only on a few dates in summer and offers an opportunity to connect culture and everyday life in a relaxed manner.
