Mumuth

MUMUTH, the House of Music and Music Theater at the University of Arts Graz, is considered an architectural highlight among the Graz sights. The building, designed by Dutch architect Ben van Berkel, impresses with its sculptural language of form made of steel, concrete, and glass and has already received the Fischer von Erlach Award as well as the Urban Land Institute Award.

The centerpiece is the György Ligeti Hall with variable acoustics, enabling concerts and theater productions of the highest quality. Additionally, there is an orchestra rehearsal room, a rehearsal stage, and modern equipped studios. The mesh facade is also striking, transforming into its own stage at night through integrated LED lighting.

As a modern cultural venue in the heart of Graz's Old Town, MUMUTH is not only a place for students but an inspiring space for anyone wishing to experience sound, space, and aesthetics. The building is conveniently reachable with lines 1, 3, 6, and 7 to the stop "Lichtenfelsgasse/Kunstuni".
