KIZ Royal Cinema

Directly on Conrad von Hötzendorf Street, just a few steps from Jakominiplatz, lies the KIZ RoyalKino. Since 1973, it has been a fixed part of the Graz cinema landscape and has established itself as an independent program cinema with a unique character. Between retro seating rows and modern projection technology, a distinctive film atmosphere unfolds here.

The cinema places great emphasis on original versions with subtitles, preferably in German – ideal for language enthusiasts and international guests. Three halls, equipped with DTS, Dolby, and THX sound, show over 200 films annually: European arthouse, Oscar winners, classics, and festival contributions.

Freshly prepared popcorn, a personal foyer, and premiere nights make a visit to the cinema an experience beyond the large chains. Students benefit from discounts, and sneak previews on Tuesdays are tempting. International festivals round off the program and keep the cinema alive.
