Hebalmsee

The Hebalm Lake is located in the border area between Styria and Carinthia, on the Carinthian side near Preitenegg. The peacefully situated reservoir is a worthwhile excursion destination throughout the year. Around the lake, one can enjoy nature and explore the hilly landscape of the Hebalm.

In summer, well-maintained paths lead through the forests and over the gentle hills around the lake. Many of the paths have only slight inclines, making them suitable for leisurely walks and hikes with the family. After the tour, the lakeshore invites you to take a break. With a picnic blanket, a snack, and a view of the water, one can spend a relaxing time there. Swimming is not allowed in Hebalm Lake, but dogs may cool off in the water.

Even in winter, the Hebalm is a popular destination for nature and sports enthusiasts. Right by the lake is the entry point to the cross-country skiing network of the Hebalm Nordic Center. Several loops lead through the snowy forest and alpine landscape.
