What announces itself in summer through wide green fields with bright yellow blobs, turns out in autumn to be a treasure of the soil in southern Styria. With its soft, nutty flavour, Styrian pumpkin seed oil PGI - extracted from the seeds of Styrian oil pumpkins - refines salads, soups and even pastries. At the Haindl pumpkin seed oil mill, the seeds are gently pressed into absolutely pure Styrian pumpkin seed oil PGI. This has already been awarded gold 16 times in a row and in 2014 was voted 1st place in the Gault Millau. The head of the house leads her baking courses with dedication and takes care of the bread. From September to May, she organises weekly bread baking and (sterz) cooking courses. Guided tours of the bakery are available by appointment and invite you on a "culinary" voyage of discovery.
