At an altitude of 1,600 m, the Gleinalm Lodge is located in the midst of the Gleinalm. Surrounding it are alpine meadows, forests, and the pilgrimage church Maria Schnee shaping the landscape. Those who stop here have already covered some elevation and can recharge with good food and a break on the alpine pasture.
The lodge is open for service depending on the snow conditions from mid-May to mid-September. Regularly, it is only accessible on foot. Depending on the starting point, the hiking time is usually around three hours.
Important for arrival: Access via the forest road is only possible on the trade fair days June 24th, July 2nd, July 25th, August 5th, and August 24th. The road opens at 7:30 a.m. and closes again at 7:00 p.m.
For those wishing to stay overnight on Gleinalm, the lodge offers ten double rooms as well as a mattress dormitory for up to 30 people. This provides ample space for larger hiking groups. Early reservation is recommended.
