Giovanni's Garden is a gardening operation in the eastern part of Graz that has grown into a landscape garden with a rare variety of plants over more than two hectares since the 1990s. Access is only available by appointment.
It is named after the sculpture "Giovanni" by the artist Rudolf Slama, which was gifted to the founders Sonja Grinschgl and Eva Kotzmuth during the establishment phase. Among the beds, trees, and designed garden spaces, there are numerous botanical rarities that have been collected and cared for over the years.
The garden changes with the seasons: In spring, it blooms, in summer, it grows lush, in autumn, it shines in vibrant colors, and in winter, it lies still. Each phase has its own charm and makes the garden a place you always want to return to.
