Southern Flair 731
Characteristics
SkillThe tour in numbers
After just a few kilometres, the open landscape around Premstätten unfolds and gives the tour its relaxed character. The information office and municipal building in Premstätten provide an ideal start and finish point. Here you can recharge your e-bike, and if you like, pick up a snack from one of the local farm shops. Several inns along the way also invite you to take a break.
The route first follows the Erzherzog Johann Cycle Path R9 to Dobl, then continues via Muttendorf onto the northern section of the Kainachtal Cycle Path R14. After Lannach, it leads into the Lieboch Valley on route R56. From Attendorf, the trail climbs through wooded hills towards the Florianiberg. Just before reaching Graz, wide views of rural landscapes and vineyards open up.
The route then descends to the pilgrimage church in Straßgang. From there, it passes the Straßgang natural outdoor pool and continues along Weblinger Straße to the main cycle route 11. This leads to the transport hub Puntigam, where the tour switches to HR9 towards Graz Airport. Shortly after the airport, the route reconnects with R9.
After circling the airport, the path leads back towards the Sculpture Park and Schwarzlsee, just a few minutes from the starting point in Premstätten.
