SkillThe tour in numbers
The cycling tour starts in Graz’s historic Stadtpark and leads through the university district past the Botanical Garden and Hilmteich. One of Graz’s most scenic cycle paths follows the HR5 along green stream landscapes to Mariatrost. After a short but steady climb to the basilica, the route continues through shaded forests and along panoramic ridgelines around Schaftalberg and Fasslberg.
A downhill section leads towards Kumberg, where the lakeside invites a refreshing break. The route then climbs steadily to St. Radegund at the foot of Graz’s local mountain, the Schöckl. Here, the historic Calvary Hill, spring trails and the outdoor pool offer relaxing detours.
From St. Radegund, the signposted GU3 panorama cycle route crosses the Hohenberg before a fast descent to Mölten and a relaxed ride along the Schöcklbach cycle path back to Andritz and the centre of Graz.
