Sporty MTB loop along four scenic one thousand metre peaks near Graz.

The Pleschkogelrunde 130 is fully signposted and starts at Stift Rein.

The route first follows the Mühlbach on forest roads through the Mühlbachgraben. The climb gradually becomes more even and leads up to the Mühlbacher Hütte, a suitable place for a short break.

From the Mühlbacher Kogel, the tour mainly follows forest roads along the "Four One Thousand Metre" peaks. The route passes Walzkogel, Heiggerkogel and Pleschkogel before reaching the Pleschwirt. The return follows Pleschstraße to the turn off into the Kehrer Wald.

A trail then leads towards Tallak and back to Stift Rein.

Stift Rein - Mühlbacher Hütte - Pleschwirt - Kehr - Kehrer Wald - Stift Rein

Mountain bike, e-MTB or gravel bike with good suspension, gears and brakes, helmet, glasses, water bottle, route planning or GPX track, mobile phone, cash and rain and sun protection depending on weather.

At the Mühlbacher Hütte there is a shelter with drinks available even outside opening hours. Bring coins.

By train:
Arrival by S-Bahn line S1 to Gratkorn-Gratwein station with bicycle transport.
From the station follow the cycling route towards Stift Rein.
