Yodelling in special places

The underground garage at Kaiser Franz Josef Kai 8 in Graz is being transformed into an unusual concert hall: On Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at 6:30 p.m., those interested in yodeling can expect an urban spatial-sound experience of a special kind. Under the direction of Daniel Fuchsberger – known from radio and television – the echo of the hall will serve as a musical stage.

Yodeling in special locations has now become a name in the Graz Experience Region. This edition is aimed at everyone who wants to experience folk music in a new way – right in the city, but with an alpine feeling. The steel-concrete hall of the underground garage unfolds its own unique acoustics: Every note sounds longer, every melody is carried. This trains the ear and the voice. Furthermore, it shows that folk music can also be urban, creative, and surprising.

Participants will experience in 1.5 hours:
• Breathing and voice exercises with echo effect
• Yodel sequences to join in
• Sound experience with direct feedback from the architecture
