Wine festival
At the wine festival in the main square of Seiersberg-Pirka, regional wines, Styrian delicacies, and live music by Soko Dixie meet the storied wine culture of the community.
Admission is free!
Wine, regional cuisine, and Dixie sounds characterize the wine festival “Vinum in foro” on the main square of Seiersberg-Pirka. The event draws on the long tradition of viticulture in the community and combines it with an open tasting, Styrian dishes, and musical accompaniment.
Birgit and Stefan Birnstingl-Gottinger from Biohof Gottinger, Josef Schwarz from Gasthaus Luderbauer, Holger and René Hagen, as well as the Harkamp winery, present their wines. This way, the wine festival brings together local producers and vineyards from Southern Styria in the main square.
For a fee of € 5.00, a Seiersberg-Pirka wine glass including a tasting card is available. This includes five wine samples from the participating winemakers. If the glass and card are returned, the fee is refunded; alternatively, the glass can be kept as a souvenir. Admission to the festival is free.
The culinary offerings include roasted pork, dumplings, cheese variations, sweet dishes, roasted chestnuts, and new wine, as well as products from local suppliers. Live music is provided by Soko Dixie. Thus, the first wine festival of the community combines wine tasting, regional cuisine, and music with the local viticulture history.
Seiersberg-Pirka is accessible by public transport.
