Walk: A summer retreat on the Reinischkogel

Su., 21.06.2026 from 09:00 o'clock

Guided hike on Reinischkogel starting at Aiblwirt. Gentle paths, beautiful views, a stop at Klugbauer, and plenty of nature make this tour a relaxing mountain experience.

Registration required!

The Reinischkogel reveals its calm side during this guided hike. The starting point is at Aiblwirt, from where a short ascent leads up to the gentle heights. Afterwards, the journey continues through nature along varied hiking and forestry paths.

Along the way, views of the West Styria landscape open up time and again. A special highlight is the summit cross, which offers a broad view after about one and a half hours of walking. The Peace Bell at the chapel by the resting place also belongs to the quiet moments of the tour.

The route covers approximately 15 kilometers with about 450 meters of elevation gain. The path is well manageable and mainly leads through shady forest areas. Just right for a summer hike.

  • Cost € 25.00 pP

Another highlight is the stop at the Klugbauer inn. There, you can enjoy regional cuisine and a cozy break before heading back towards Aiblwirt.

Such tours show how varied the Graz Region is. Nature, movement, and small moments of pleasure are closely intertwined here.

The hike "Summer Freshness on the Reinischkogel" takes place on June 21 and is accompanied by an experienced guide. The meeting point is at Köflach train station, from where carpools will be formed.

Köflach train station is easily accessible by public transport.
