Two days of finest music

Two concert evenings and two different musical styles characterize “Two Days of Finest Music” in the schoolyard of the Nestelbach primary school. On August 7 and 8, the program starts at 5:00 p.m. on both days. Friday is dedicated to Harry Belafonte's musical and political legacy, while Saturday focuses on funk, pop, and soul from Graz.

Under the title “Ron Williams meets Harry Belafonte,” actor and singer Ron Williams, along with the Jörg Seidel Trio, presents a program featuring romantic ballads, calypso hits, political songs, and worksongs. Williams establishes the connection between Belafonte's music and his social commitment. Interludes trace the milestones of a life marked by artistic success, political work, and the fight against discrimination. Williams himself has also stood for nonviolence and anti-racism for decades.

On Saturday, Candlelight Ficus takes the stage. The Graz funk-pop band blends influences from Vulfpeck, Steely Dan, James Brown, and Tower of Power with modern songwriting and improvisation. Earthy grooves, catchy pop melodies, and soul elements define the band sound.

Single tickets cost € 25.00 in advance, and combo tickets are € 40.00. At the box office, prices are € 30.00 and € 50.00 per person, respectively.
