With “Two Crazy Fighters” (two crazy roosters) Christian Gruber brings a cheerful play with songs in three acts to the stage of the Fachschule Maria Lankowitz with his Lankowitzer Theaterstadl. The performance series begins on August 14, 2026, and includes a total of 13 dates until September 6.
The focus is on the maid Mirzl and the farmhand Loisl, who have been working together at the Lechnerhof for years. Both perform their tasks so conscientiously that the childless farmers would like to see them as a couple. However, Mirzl and Loisl are little inclined to recognize each other's virtues. The story gains momentum when a vacation guest woos Mirzl with love poems. Loisl reacts jealously, and from the familiar everyday life at the farm, a quarrel full of misunderstandings, wounded vanity, and rural humor develops.
The ensemble includes, among others, Christian Gruber as farmer Severin Lechner, Lena Neschmach as Walpurga, Michael Hölfont as farmhand Loisl, and Karin Keusch as maid Mirzl. Overall direction is by Christian Gruber, with music by Petzi Kienzl and Verena Gratz.
Admission is € 15.00 for adults and € 10.00 for children up to twelve years old. The numbered seats can be reserved by phone at +43 664 99362550.
Maria Lankowitz is accessible by public transport.
