Theatre: The Three Village Saints
Historical backdrops, live music, and a cheerful folk theater classic provide great entertainment in St. Radegund near Graz.
Admission: € 15.00 adults | € 7.00 children
In the Cursaal St. Radegund near Graz, the St. Radegund farmers' theater presents “The 3 Village Saints,” a folk play by Max Neal and Max Ferner. The premiere is on June 25, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. On stage is a rural farce filled with humor, old secrets, and that direct manner that belongs to folk theater in Styria.
In the small village of Scheibling, Mayor Simon Hilgermoser and the council members Riedlechner and Söllbeck are regarded as honorable men. They like to talk about virtue and decency. But then old love letters surface. Twenty years ago, all three wrote to the same maid, known as the “black Resei.” Soon, the good reputation of the village saints is in jeopardy.
The St. Radegund farmers' theater was founded in 1896 and is one of the oldest amateur stages in Styria. Performances are still held today with live music. Props and stage sets from the founding era are still in use. This is exactly what makes the evening so down-to-earth: theater as it used to be, right in the Graz experience region, close to the Schöckl and near the audience.
Tickets cost € 15.00 for adults and € 7.00 for children. Reservations can be made by phone at +43 664 4367147, and reserved tickets must be picked up at least half an hour before the show begins!
