With the comedy “Cold White Man”, the Burghofspiele Voitsberg presents a contemporary play on the open-air stage of the ruins of Obervoitsberg. The historic castle complex has provided a charming setting for the summer theater season for decades, combining theater with a unique outdoor ambiance.
The play by Dietmar Jacobs and Moritz Netenjakob addresses social questions related to language, communication, and interpersonal relations. The starting point is a memorial service that goes awry due to a seemingly harmless wording on a wreath ribbon. This evolves into a pointed comedy about misunderstandings, different perspectives, and social change. Humor, witty dialogue, and contemporary themes are at the forefront.
The Burghofspiele are among the traditional open-air theaters in Styria. The performances at the ruins of Obervoitsberg merge contemporary acting with the special flair of a historic venue, making the theater visit a cultural summer experience in the Lipizzaner homeland.
Tickets are bookable online. Admission from 8:00 p.m.
Voitsberg is accessible by public transport.
