The art of storytelling: ‘Light turns to darkness, darkness turns to light’
Deep in the Lurgrotte Semriach, fairy tales, music, and whispering rocks lead through a mysterious night.
Registration required!
As the last rays of sunlight disappear over Semriach, a special journey begins deep underground. The “Magic Night in the Lurgrotte Semriach” combines fairy tales, music, and the quiet power of the stalactite cave into an atmospheric evening.
On September 4 & 5, storyteller Frederik Mellak and musician Willy Kulmer will lead you through a world filled with magical fairy tales, mythical images, and fine sounds. During a cozy walk through the cave, stories about transformation, courage, and new paths unfold. Clarinet and saxophone notes resonate among the rocks, making the unique acoustics of the Lurgrotte palpable. The impressive stalactite landscapes, the interplay of light and darkness, and the tranquil atmosphere underground create a setting that lingers in memory.
Admission: € 25.00 adults | € 15.00 children
Registration at +43 650 9108888 and via email.
This event is suitable for adults and children aged eight and over. Warm clothing, sturdy footwear, and a small snack make the evening even more enjoyable. The number of participants is limited, ensuring plenty of quiet and space for shared experiences. The Lurgrotte Semriach is one of the most famous show caves in the Graz experience region and reveals the nature of Styria from its mysterious side. An evening full of stories and quiet impressions unfolds here among rocks, water, and sound.
The Lurgrotte can be reached by public transport.
