Summer Festival - Charlie & Die Kaischlabuam

Fr., 21.08.2026 from 20:00 o'clock

Charlie and the Kaischlabuam bring dialect music to Ligist: Bumm Tschak, grooves from the Balkans to the Lassnitztal at the summer festival in Schilcherhof!

When it starts to sound like handmade music in Ligist again, a special evening at Schilcherhof is approaching. On August 21, the summer festival will turn into a stage for Charlie and the Kaischlabuam – a band deeply rooted in Styria while also looking far beyond its borders.

What’s their style? Hard to categorize, and that’s exactly what makes it appealing. Bumm Tschak dialect music meets adventurous grooves that span from the Hühnerberg to the Balkans and eventually land back in the Lassnitztal. In between, "gawats Gschichtln" pop up – little stories that enliven the evening and provide many smiles.

The lineup brings its own unique sound: Robert Masser on the electric "Wödmastagitarre" with a distinctive voice, Charlie Kainz on the metal guitar, rhythm machine, and vocals. Joining them are Gerhard Steinrück on the double bass and Martin Burböck with the Styrian harmonica. Every note is perfect, yet nothing feels polished – this is about honest music with character.

Music contribution: € 20.00 pP

The Schilcherhof in Ligist offers the perfect setting for it. Nestled in the gentle hills of the Graz Region, an atmosphere is created that is relaxed yet full of energy. An evening that shows how versatile dialect music can sound – down-to-earth, lively, and always a little surprising.
