Summer Festival - Adana

When the first notes of Adana resound at the Schilcherhof in Ligist, the summer festival in the Lipizzaner homeland is graced with an evening full of warmth, rhythm, and fine tension. The Adana Klezmer Band looks back on twenty years of making music together on September 12 and recounts this time not with grand words, but with music that immediately conjures images.

Initially, jazz standards were at the forefront, later original compositions were added, and today Klezmer and Balkan music shape the sound of this band. This is where the charm lies: melodies with heart, lively arrangements, and a groove that carries lightly. At times it sounds buoyant, sometimes quiet and contemplative, and then again dance-like and full of drive.
