Seiersberg-Pirka Mask Exhibition

Experience the Krampus tradition up close: On October 3 and 4, 2026, the Seiersberg-Pirka sports center will transform into a meeting point for Krampus fans, families, and anyone interested in living traditions and traditional crafts. 37 guest groups from all over Austria will showcase their masks, costumes, and equipment in individually designed stalls.

The focus will be on those details that are often only visible for a few moments during a Krampus run. Artfully carved masks, furs, bells, and the entire equipment of the groups can be observed in peace. Mask carvers and outfitters will provide insights into their craft, and a pyrotechnician will also be present. The exhibition demonstrates the amount of craftsmanship and different interpretations behind the Krampus and Perchten traditions.

On Saturday, the exhibition will be opened at 10:00 a.m. by chairman Julian Schöberl and the Seiersberg music club. From 3:00 p.m., there will be Austropop with “Zwa tuans a”, and at 6:00 p.m., the traditional “Aufteifln” will follow, featuring an aftershow party, RM disco, DJs, and the Glueboys. On Sunday, the doors will open as early as 9:00 a.m., and from 10:00 a.m., “Die Hohenauer” will accompany the Sunday morning pint. Face painting, shooting gallery, tombola, and nail sticks will complement the program on both days.
